Types of Poi
One of my favorite part of poi is that there are a variety of different types to play with. In this video I’ll discuss the different types that I have including: flag, fire, led, contact, sock/cloth poi; other types that exist; and props which are similar to poi.
I mentioned a couple types of poi and flow props which I did not have myself, so here are some video examples to see them in action:
DIY Sock Poi - Create Your Own
There are a variety of simple ways to create your own poi using basic items you can find in your house. The most simple DIY poi are Sock Poi. What you’ll need to create sock poi are:
Knee High Socks
Filler
Something Round (stress ball, fruit, etc.)
Rolled up Socks (anklets & knee highs)
Rice in Ziplock Bag
